Changes It has been a few days since my last post... and a lot of things have been happening. I am really starting to appreciate the fact that I do not have to work 3rd shift while attending school this semester. I can tell that I am starting to comprehend a lot more, and I am not totally exhausted in every class. Which makes me feel good as a student.

Also, I sold my car today. Sycophant's little brother was looking for an inexpensive vehicle that was well-maintained, and it just so happened I had an inexpensive vehicle that was well-maintained. The vehicle is my 2003 Ford Focus ZX3. It is 4 years old and counting, and still purrs like a kitten. It runs smooth, and the interior is great, and the exterior is good (keeping in mind that it IS four years old). I hope that he is happy...

Anyways, I have been getting frustrated faster than usual lately. Not sure why... I feel like I am constantly on the run, and by the time I get around to studying for a class, I am getting tired and frustrated... and it is only the end of the first week... I will make arrangements to solve this issue... so no worry.

First Day COMPLETE Todays full day of classes has come to an end. From Symbolic Logic to Philosophy of Love & Sex, and ending with Economics, I have survived with great anticipation for the upcoming semester. My classes were delightfully interesting...

In one class, I even had to meet new people... I met a guy and he was interested to know what I did over the summer... he said that he worked all summer... he noticed my ankle bracelet... so I honestly and bluntly told him that I spent the majority of my summer in PRISON, and am spending the end and most of winter on home confinement. He, surprisingly, didnt ask what I did. Who knows, it might come up in the future.

CLASS ONE Well, class number one is down the drain. It was good, and fun. It is a Symbolic Logic class, and the professor is pretty cool. So not too shabby for class #1.

Back to School Today I am heading back to school for the first time in a while. I am switching my focus from Psychology to Management Information Systems (MIS),

I start this morning at 11:15AM, I just have to remember to wear long pants... atleast of the first day to cover up my Ankle Monitor. Weekend Passing Fast This weekend seems to be speeding by... whooosh... there is goes... it is already Sunday (for 2 hours now)... and Monday is my start date for school. Now onto the past 24 hours:
My friend Caleb is getting married. He will soon be taking the next step in his relationship. So we all went to Family First Sports Park and had a little fun... it was a good time. They have a rockwall that I climbed to the top 5 times... and I did the old Cliff Hanger. How can anything involving gokarts, climbing, water, and a bunch of dudes, be nothing more than unadulterated fun?

GOOD DAY Today was a great day... I proceed in the normal direction at the start of today... I wake up... smooge around a little bit... then sit at the computer. I check my email, check here for any comments and then check my feeds for anything new I haven't read (there is always something new)... and then I decide to check the status of my school loan application... so even though it is a Sunday, I figure: "What the hell, I will check it out"... low and behold, I was approved... so that is one less thing I have to worry about....

This Sucks It is really really late/early (however you want to consider it... I consider it late, because I haven't slept yet). I am really tired, but for some reason I can not sleep. I have taken NyQuil (actually Equate: Nite Time [Wal-Mart Brand]), and I still can not fall asleep.

The Big Day Today is my [and my brothers] birthday. The big two-five (25).

Today should be filled with candy canes and fairy dust, but it will most likely end with brimstone and flames.

Birthdays... You know, for some reason, this year, it won't seem like anything spectacular. I am not looking forward to it. I just really want to spend some time on me. I, ofcourse, want to see Jeni, and Kailyn... but other than that... I just want it to be a mellow and lowkey day for me. [I doubt that will happen for me]. Oh well...

Fishing Again Jeni, Kailyn, and I all went fishing again today. It was a decent (gloomy and overcast) day, and it did not rain until right when we were finished. I caught 2 fish, Jeni caught 2, and poor little Kailyn didnt catch any. She was more interested in the surroundings anyways. It was fun.

Can't Sleep It's pretty late and I can't seem to get to sleep. I have to go to Jerry Uht Park tomorrow for an Erie SeaWolves game. It is my girlfriends work thingy, and we will be there for a while. It should be cool.

*LAYOUT CHANGE* Most of you will notice a change in the overall layout of the site.

I have been feeling glum as of late, and I am trying to change the path and direction of my life. Along with those changes, I felt that a layout change was in order.

I have been using this for a couple days, and so far it reminds me of Swiftfox, which I stopped using because of GNU issues. It is fast, stable, and so far, I like it.

My 3 Weeks Out of Prison As of Friday, August 3rd, I have been out of prison for three weeks. I can tell you that life is hard, albeit I am not in prison, but things aren't easy. I have no job (no source of income). I have no money. I have no aspirations of a future full of hope and glory anymore. I am realistically thinking about the long explanations to prospective employers about my criminal record, and lack of work history for the past 5 months, and detail about my past... it is a future not worth waiting for. I have goals... but my goals are out shined by a reality of hopelessness. I had a dream once, but it was lost in 2 felony convictions. I am soon to be 25, I have been to prison, I dont have a job, and I don't have many friends. Life isn't what it was cracked up to be. It isn't the life I wanted. I know, I know, 'Things WILL get better'. But I ask: "Will they?" I heard a story that we are all predetermined for success... have I lost my chance at being something more than just an ex-con with a little smarts? Or is there hope? I can't see it.

I am filled with a burning hatred and an undying contempt for who I am right now. And as of now I don't foresee a change. God does work in mysterious ways... hopefully his mystery becomes my reality. // sk0t @ 11:30 PM :: Comments [3] :: Digg This ::

Fishing I went fishing today with Jeni and Kailyn. And within the first 15 seconds, (while I was preparing my rod for casting), Kailyn had already caught her first fish. It was almost instantaneous... she cast and seconds later she is reeling her fish in (very excitedly as well).

I will have some pictures of some of the fish we caught, including what might be the smallest fish ever caught by man (I happened to catch it).
