December: Month in Review
This month has proved informative yet devastating all at once.
It began as usual, normal entrance into a month, I wasn't forced to work at all this month, so it started out being just another day into another day and so on... nothing too exciting. It progressed further to the day of sentencing...(19th)... that day proved to be much more influential than I had originally anticipated. I already knew what the sentence would be, and I told almost everyone exactly that... so when the judge handed down a split 5/5 sentence it wasn't a big shocker. The real shocker hit after the fact... the impact of knowing without a shadow of doubt that you are going to prison is really traumatic. I didn't think that I would feel so down in the dumps about it, but unfortunately, I do... it is hard thing to comprehend... I don't know how most people would handle this, and I feel that I am doing a damn good job of it.
--Anyways, the month is ending on a note that seems overplayed. The fact that everyday that passes is one day closer to my serving my 5 month prison sentence. Some would say, that I am that much closer to being done... but that is illogical, since it hasnt even started yet.
On that note, I will bid you farewell for this year. I won't be posting tomorrow (31st), I will save it for the first of the year.
So goodbye 2006, and since we know what the next year holds, I won't welcome 2007.

Christmas and New Years
Christmas has past us, and we are traveling forward for the dawn of a new year. Unfortunately, this new year only holds heartache for me... I will be incarcerated for almost half of this new year. I have given posting rights to a friend of mine,
y0himba. He is going to keep you all updated on what is going on with me, while I am away. He will also post my address for anyone to send me letters.
I still don't know when I am going to go away, but I would imagine it wont be too long. I hope you all have a Happy New Year, and I will keep you posted on further developments.

Word
I know everyone that reads this doesn't know what to say... and unfortunately neither do I (as someone pointed out already)... but this is my dealing time (until I go away)... and it just seems to me that no one can really grasp it because know one knows what it is like (unless you have been or/are going through this)...
I don't really get angry, I am just tapped out on emotions right now... and most everything runs right off my shoulders.
So keep in mind that I use this blog to post what I am thinking at the time of writing... and mostly it is at the end of night when they day has passed and I get a little time for introspection.
So just stick with me people... I don't have much time left.
P.S. The BoP (Bureau of Prisons) could take up to 6 months to get me a spot, and no it won't be in my local prison. It will be in a camp similar to Grant Stanley, but closer to my home. [EX: Bradford (McKean) or Youngstown, OH]

The Day After
It has been a little over 14 hours since I found out that I will be serving a little under half a year in a prison. It is unfortunate that things turned out this way... and everyone seems to be happy that it is only 5 months... and that is a cup half full approach... I seem to the cup as half empty (which is understandable)...
I have heard from people that it is a good thing that it is only 5 months, and granted it could be longer, but it is different when you know that you don't have to serve any time. I have to go to prison... and as scared as that makes me feel... I will do it. And get it over with...

The Countdown is ON
Well, it is quite early in the morning on the day of my sentencing. And I can't sleep. Big Surprise Huh? Well, I am watching some TV, and doing some searching around on the internet... trying to keep sane. I have a little cold, which is making the whole situation just that much worse... but "When It Rains, It Pours..."
I will be posting as soon as possible after I get home from court today. I will let you all know exactly what I know, so you can keep apprised of the situation.
I wont be heading to prison immediately. I will be able to self-report, which means, I will get a letter from the BoP (Bureau of Prisons) and have 10 days to report.
So more to come a little later in the day...
Thanks for reading.

Tuesday
Tuesday is coming quite fast for me... it seems to be sneaking around the corner. I have been a little moody lately... rightfully so... but it is taking a toll on me. So lets just all hope for the best.
It wont be a big surprise when I get sentenced, cause I already know what to expect since I signed a deal. But it will just all be a reality, and that can have a greater impact that just my educated speculation.
So as the time gets closer, just pray for me a little, if you can fit it in...

Letters
You know, I have had all of my suspicions confirmed lately. I told all of my friends about letters they could write to the judge on my behalf... and of all the people that I know (family included), I got 10 letters. Not one was from a friend of mine. My dad, my brother, my girlfriend, a couple of my aunts and uncles, a family friend of my parents, and a cousin, to top it off at 10. Not on of my so-called friends wrote a letter to the judge for me... not one....
It is funny to me... and disheartening... to know that at any second I would have stopped and wrote a letter for any one of my friends... and I can say that without hesitation, and all my friends know it... but not one could write one for me...
How can you forget the one, who never forgets about you?

WorldTavernPoker.com
I played in a poker tournament (Text Holdem - No Limit) tonight (2 of them actually). The first game of the tournament I came in 3rd place (all can be verified at the site above). That game ended with me playing a lousy hand and making a stupid mistake that I should have never done...
Results of the 1st game: CLICK HERE (I took 3rd)
Results of the 2nd game: CLICK HERE (I took 4th)
The second game of the tournament, I came in 4th place... this time around I just wasn't having any luck, I was getting some cards, but I just couldn't play them... my Uncle Dave came in 3rd in the last game and 12th in the first game. He did quite well also. My friend Dave (who is just learning poker) came in 19th, and 15th, which is respectable for an up-and-comer.

Let me tell you a story...
-On one side we have the pragmatist, the group who thinks of the practical as how things should be, we will call them the king.
-On the other side we have the idealist, who believes in nobility and dreams of a world only in his head, we will call them the church.
-Now in the world there is a never-ending struggle between the pragmatists and the idealists, the king versus the church. Neither group is entirely wrong nor entirely correct. Strong points and weak points exist for both sides, and both have extreme power, and in order to further their agenda, they do terrible terrible things.
-Now, the best place to be in the battle as a third party is to stand on the outside and let them do their part. -Well, in order to prevent the other from gaining too much power, one group decides to blow up the world.
--Do you pick a side then? Do you band with the other group in order to save humanity? Or do you still stand on the sideline and watch as the world destructs right in front of you?
--I want to hear all your comments on my little story, and what you think about it... so please post a comment.

Movie Review
Lady In the Water (2006)Directed by:
M. Night ShyamalanWriting credits:
M. Night Shyamalan (written by)
Plot Outline: Apartment building superintendent Cleveland Heep (Giamatti) rescues what he thinks is a young woman from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in our world.
(more)Review: This movie might have been the best movie I have seen all year. Its story line and character plots were brilliant. It has everything you want to see in a movie... with a twist, a moral compass, and specific action parts that play to the movies climax. This is a MUST SEE.
Rating: 5 stars (out of 5 stars).
